Fair-trade Chocolate and quality
Cocoa is a special ingredient ,
in so far as it requires considerable care beyond harvesting. The farmer has to
accomplish some important tasks during cultivation, harvesting, fermenting and
drying of the cocoa beans. Paying the farmer well for work well done is, a matter
of fairness and also of quality. It's a question of motivating people who care about their work.
The cocoa we use is certified organic and fair-trade and comes from small-scale farmers.
What does fair-trade mean?
